Chapter 7

"We're in the lobby," Hunter said

"Ok, I'll be down in a moment." I hung up and went to the bathroom brushed my teeth and then I made my way down. Since I had to fly out to meet with Malcolm, I asked Hunter if I could meet Lisa.

Their wedding was moving ahead in full swing. Hunter sent a picture of the dress I would be wearing in the wedding. They had me go to a specific dress shop in LA to have my measurements taken. I didn't mind, but it seemed odd to me not to have met his future wife and the wedding was coming up.

Also, Andrew was driving over to the city with the baby since I hadn't met him yet. I couldn't wait to meet him. The pictures Andrew sent of little man, he looked just like Drew's baby pictures. He barely looked like Toya at all. I asked him to give me a couple of hours and then to come on over.

When I walked into the bar Hunter and Lisa were at the bar. Lisa tapped Hunter as I approached them. Hunter spun around with excitement; his smile dropped a little then he looked me up and down. As he hugged me, he asked what I was wearing. I frowned and said jeans and a T-shirt; I asked him what was wrong with what I was wearing. He said it wasn't my normal attire. Then he introduced me to Lisa who was very excited to finally meet me. She told me she's heard so much about me. Lisa was average height, brunette, her brown eyes seemed like they sparkled and she had the happiest and bubbliest personality. She was a talker, so immediately she dove in. She started telling me that she's heard so much about me and she was so happy that I agreed to be in the wedding. While she and I were talking Hunter kept scanning me up and down. I stopped my conversation with Lisa and I looked at Hunter, "WHAT?" He asked me what was up with me. He said I seemed off or just different. I was getting sick of hearing it. I still dress, and I'm not lacking confidence. But I don't look to be the center of attention these days. Even with El being so far away, I still felt like his attention was enough. As long as I had El I didn't need everyone else. And honestly, I was liking this way of existing, it was more relaxed. I waited for Hunter to put his adjective on his sentiments.

"You look like a soccer mom."

I felt like he shot me. "WHAT?"

"Comfortable jeans, form fitting T-shirt, ponytail, and sneakers!" He scoffed, "you're not even wearing earrings!"

"Hunter! She looks fine!" Lisa said

"I'm not saying she looks bad, I'm just saying you've changed. Normally you're...." He searched for another adjective. Then he snapped his fingers like the light bulb went off. "Normally when you walk into a room all eyes are on you.
